The University of South Carolina football team returned to the Bluff Road practice fields Saturday morning. It was the squad’s first practice session in preparation for the 2012 Capital One Bowl, which will pit the 10-2 Gamecocks against the 9-3 Nebraska Cornhuskers on Monday, January 2 in Orlando, Fla.
The Gamecocks were in shoulder pads and shorts on Saturday morning as they worked out for about two hours and 15 minutes. The team is scheduled to practice eight more times before breaking for the Christmas holiday on December 23.
The team will practice again on Sunday at noon. All practices are closed.
