Hola friends and family! We are now going on day six of being in España, and it is getting a lot easier.

We got in a bit of a trouble with Rosario (our host mother) the other evening over a crêpe scandal. Lindsey and I had just gotten home and were starving for dinner. We didn’t think Rosario was going to show up any time soon, so we snuck into the kitchen and broke out the French crêpes with chocolate spread (like Nutella). In the Spanish culture, it is very frowned upon to enter the kitchen if you are not the mother, so needless to say we were trying to be very sneaky. Right when we got all the ingredients out on the table, the front door opened and Rosario walked in! We grabbed everything and hid it under the bed so that Rosario wouldn’t notice (or so we thought). Unfortunately, we left the door to the kitchen open which made her start investigating and asking questions in a frenzy. We of course were dying laughing and freaking out, nervous that she would find out! We ended up hiding the crêpes in Lindsey’s makeup bag and making a late night kitchen trip to return everything else. Lesson learned: don’t steal the Spaniards’ food!
