COLUMBIA, S.C. — After winning her first tournament as a professional last week, recent South Carolina graduate Katie Burnett will begin play on one of the biggest stages in women’s golf on Thursday at the U.S. Women’s Open.

The tournament runs through Sunday at the Blackwolf Run Championship Course in Kohler, Wis. Burnett will tee off in the sixth group on Thursday at 8:22 a.m. ET on hole No. 10.

Burnett is coming off a 10-stroke victory last week at the Michigan PGA Women’s Open at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, Mich.

A native of Brunswick, Ga., Burnett wrapped up her Gamecock career in May as one of the best to ever wear the Garnet and Black. She earned second team All-America honors from both Golfweek and the National Golf Coaches Association after recording a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championship in May, which is the best finish ever by a Gamecock at the national championship. Burnett holds the lowest career scoring average in program history (74.18) and also became the first Gamecock to post a season average below 73, finishing the year with a 72.94 stroke average.

Live scoring will be available by clicking here, while ESPN2 will provide coverage of the first two rounds from 4-8 p.m. each day. The final two rounds will be broadcast from 3-6 p.m. on NBC.
