COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina’s equestrian team maintained its No. 2 ranking in the latest coaches poll, it was announced today. This week’s poll sets up a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown on Friday as the Gamecocks travel to face top-ranked Georgia at the UGA Equestrian Complex.

The Gamecocks picked up a 10-9 win over No. 3 Auburn on Oct. 4 to improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The collegiate coaches competing under the National Collegiate Equestrian Association umbrella initiated the national poll. The next poll will be released on November 14.
