Head Coach Chad Holbrook
Opening Statement…
We did some good things tonight. The thing that jumps out to me is that we played a clean game with no errors. We had 10 walks offensively and had five strikeouts, so anytime you’re 2-to-1 in the plus category, that’s a good thing. We swung the bats really well. Joey [Pankake] was impressive in batting practice today. Now that he is finally healthy, he was able to swing the bat like he’s able to swing it. He’s been nursing a finger issue, and of course, the groin issue from last week at Clemson. He has swung it in batting practice the last couple of days like I know he can swing it. It was really nice to see him carry that into the game today. Max [Schrock] had a good day. Grayson [Greiner] was terrific both behind the plate and offensively. He could’ve easily been 5-for-5, but he was 2-for-5 with three RBI, but he hit some balls on the nose. All in all it was a good win. It was good to get the tenth win and it was good to play clean. There is certainly a lot we need to work and improve on, but all in all, it was a good day.

On George Iskenderian
I put George [Iskenderian] in at DH and it was his first start. George swings the bat like a DH should swing the bat and he is going to continue DH’ing some. He swung it like that last night even though I got him in there late. He’s an athletic kid. He’s got bat speed, strength, and many days the ball he hit to right field is a home run, the wind knocked that one down. Also, on days he isn’t swinging it well, he’s a good runner. He’s got a bright future ahead and he’s going to get more opportunities.

On Patrick Sullivan’s performance tonight…
He was very solid, he threw strikes. He had five strikeouts in three and two-thirds innings. That’s a good line for him. You feel comfortable with him out there because he is a veteran, he’s older, and he’s mature. He’s not going to get rattled in any situation. I just felt he got a little tired there at the end and that’s why we went to [Adam] Westmoreland. It was good to see him come in there and get some sliders and some strikeouts.

Max Schrock
On the teams’ offensive performance tonight…
We had a lot of energy today and I think that transferred to our bats. It’s easy to ha ve a lot of energy when it’s cold as Aspen out there. It gave us a little shock.

On his 3 steals tonight…
With the first guy, he had a huge leg kick, so I took advantage of that for the first two. My legs just felt great on the last steal, so I just took off again.

Patrick Sullivan
On his performance tonight…
I was glad to get back on the rubber, it felt like it had been awhile. Curt [Britt] gave us a good start today and I wanted to just go out there and throw strikes. In that first outing, I was pulling out a lot so I just wanted to make sure I stayed through and get some pitches in.

On the teams’ performance in the last few games…
We came a lot with a lot of energy after a big series like Clemson. Sometimes you don’t come out with a lot of energy because of a lot of emotion from that series, but we came back and swung the bats really well. Having two 10+ run games, everybody is going out there real confident. A lot of guys got in tonight and that was good. Hopefully, we can stay healthy and keep winning.
