South Carolina Football defensive end Jadeveon Clowney recorded 4.5 sacks in the Gamecocks' 27-17 win over Clemson on Nov. 24, 2012. The sophomore from Rock Hill leads the nation in sacks (13, also a single-season school record) and tackles for loss (21.5) so far this season. He is a finalist for the Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and Rotary Lombardi Award, and was named to the AFCA All-America team.
