COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina rising senior Caulder Moore has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, the Golf Coaches Association of American announced Wednesday.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championship, have a stroke average under 76 and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
A native of Isle of Palms, S.C., Moore played in five events for the Gamecocks in 2012-13, turning in a stroke average of 75.33. He recorded a season-best tie for 27th finish at the Palmetto Intercollegiate and also played in the Savannah Quarters Individual, finishing tied for 13th.
