COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina men’s golf team has been named a Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team, the GCAA announced Wednesday.

South Carolina was one of 143 teams from all levels of collegiate golf (Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA) to receive the honor. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team award, a school must submit GPAs for each golfer on its roster and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee joined the Gamecocks in representing the SEC on the list of teams honored.
