COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin will serve as the honorary captain at this Saturday’s football contest versus Kentucky (7:30 p.m. ET, FSN), and the men’s basketball team will take part in pre-game festivities at Gamecock Village.

The men’s squad will arrive at Gamecock Village at 5:30 p.m., and will sign autographs on the athletics department item provided at the event, and shoot baskets with fans until 6:30 p.m. As Gamecock fans enter the gates, the team will pass out schedule cards while also welcoming them to Williams-Brice Stadium for the contest versus the Wildcats.

Coach Martin will make an appearance on the Gamecock Radio Network pre-game radio show on Saturday, before joining the officials as the honorary captain for the coin toss prior to kick off at the 50-yard line. Fans should keep an eye on the field during the game, as Coach Martin and the team will be introduced as the program continues preseason practice and gears up for the regular season, which begins with a Nov. 3 exhibition contest vs. USC Aiken at Colonial Life Arena.
