Gamecock Athletics Announces Group Theme Games for Men's Basketball

COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The University of South Carolina athletics department has announced three unique youth theme events for the months of February and March for select Gamecock men’s basketball games. The events and games include a Cheer Clinic on Feb. 15, against Alabama (4 p.m. ET), a Boy Scout Day Feb. 22, against Georgia (1:30 p.m. ET) and a Dance Clinic March 1, against Kentucky (6 p.m. ET).

The Cheer Clinic is open to girls and boys ages 5-14 and will be led by the South Carolina cheerleaders. Each child will receive a participant ticket to the Alabama game, a T-shirt and the opportunity to perform at halftime of the game.

South Carolina Athletics and the Indian Waters Council, BSA, have teamed up again this season to host Scout Day. Each child will receive a game ticket, a food voucher (soda, hot dog and popcorn), and a Scout Day patch. Each scout in attendance will also be able to participate in our special post game Scout Day activities including pictures and autographs with Cocky and players (if available), a skills clinic on the court and a behind the scenes tour of Colonial Life Arena.

The Junior Carolina Girls Dance Clinic is open to girls age 5-14 and includes personal instruction and choreography from the Carolina Girls Dance Team. Each child will also receive a ticket to the Kentucky game, a Junior Carolina Girls T-shirt and the opportunity to perform at halftime of the game.
