COLUMBIA, S.C. –
South Carolina women’s soccer (5-1-0) slipped to 16th in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Women’s Rankings.

The Gamecocks went 1-1-0 over the weekend, dropping a Friday match to Clemson, 1-0, for their first loss of the season before bouncing back against High Point on Sunday with a 2-0 win.

In the media polls, the Gamecocks dropped from No. 7 to No. 9 in TopDrawerSoccer.com while Soccer America moved the team to No. 23 from No. 11.
