COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina sand volleyball coach Moritz Moritz announced the addition of Jade Hayes to the Gamecocks’ roster for the 2015 season on Thursday.

Hayes joins the program after playing indoor volleyball the last two seasons at UCF and will be eligible to compete for Carolina this season as a senior.

“We are excited to have Jade join our program,” Moritz said. “She will add a high level of athleticism and experience to our team. She will have to work hard to make the transition from the hard court to the sand, but she has already proven that she has the drive and desire to compete and push for a top position on our competitive squad. To be able to bring someone like Jade in that will add not just to our competitive level in the sand but also contribute to the character and to help in creating the legacy of our team for the future is awesome.”
