No. 21 Gamecocks Host Three-Match Weekend

COLUMBIA, S.C. — No. 21 Gamecocks return to the Carolina Tennis Center after being on the road for two weeks to host their first SEC match of the year. South Carolina will host No. 19 Tennessee Friday, March 17 at 5 p.m. and a doubleheader with No. 6 Georgia at 1 p.m. and Coastal Carolina at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 19.

South Carolina fell to No. 1 Florida this weekend in Gainesville, Fla. at the Ring Tennis Center in a tough 4-0 loss, dropping their overall record to 9-4 and their league record to 1-2. The doubles pairing of Paige Cline and Hadley Berg (27) defeated Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan (15) in their second ranked win this season.

Admission and parking for all home tennis matches is free of charge.

Head Coach Kevin Epley: “We have been working all week to prepare for this SEC weekend. We feel like we can play better and I believe we will come out ready to fight for both these matches. It’s always an advantage playing at home in the SEC. We don’t have that many home contest this year, so we are looking forward to a couple of great matches this weekend.”
