No. 13 Gamecocks Host Two SEC Opponents

COLUMBIA, S.C. — No. 13 South Carolina women’s tennis team returns home to host two SEC opponents this weekend. The Gamecocks (13-5, 4-3) will face No. 12 Auburn Friday, March 31 at 5 p.m. and No. 34 Alabama Sunday, April 2 at 1 p.m., both at the Carolina Tennis Center.
GAMECOCK NOTABLES
- The Gamecocks boast two ranked in singles play; Ingrid Gamarra Martins (36) and Mia Horvit (75).
- The doubles pairing of Paige Cline and Hadley Berg is ranked No. 42 nationally.
- The Gamecocks are 4-2 at home this season, both losses coming from top-10 opponents.
- Berg is 14-0 in singles play, boasting the best record in the SEC.
- Martins added a 2-0 record on the weekend, increasing her singles record to 17-6 overall and 5-2 in dual play.
- Senior Brigit Folland has racked up three straight singles victories, including a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6 last weekend, en route to an 11-2 spring record.
- Kevin Epley is in his fifth season with the Gamecocks.

- The Tigers are 18-6 overall and 2-5 in the SEC this season, coming off a 4-3 loss to Kentucky at home.
