8K In 8 Days Campaign Kicks Off At Brookland Baptist Empowerment Center Tuesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina men’s basketball began the Fourth Annual “8K In 8 Days” campaign on Tuesday, visiting the Brookland Baptist Church Empowerment Center in West Columbia. Gamecock veterans Chris Silva and TeMarcus Blanton, along with sophomore Maik Kotsar spent time at the Center with children, helping them through dribbling drills, a free throw station and a free throw competition. The campaign continues this week when team members host the Richland County Sheriff’s Department for an event on Wednesday, before visiting the Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
