COLUMBIA, S.C. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its academic team honors for the 2017 indoor and outdoor track seasons Thursday afternoon. The South Carolina men’s and women’s programs both earned All-Academic team distinction.

This marks the ninth-straight year that each program earned the honor for the Gamecocks. Carolina was one of just three SEC schools to have both programs collect the award, joining Alabama and Texas A&M. To qualify for the team distinction, a program must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or greater during the indoor and/or outdoor season.

The Gamecock women’s team carried a 3.424 GPA this past season, while the men sported a 3.158 GPA.
