Young Alumni Ticket Program for Gamecock Football

Remember the energy and excitement of sitting in the student section at Williams-Brice Stadium? If you graduated from South Carolina in the last three years, are on a budget, and want season tickets for Gamecock football with fellow young alumni, there are still a limited number of tickets available at a discounted rate through the Young Alumni Ticket Program. The program allows anyone who graduated from the University of South Carolina (all campuses) between 2014 and 2017 to purchase two football season tickets for only $200 per ticket.
“You get a huge discount, you get to help out the program, and you get to attend the games in a section with other young alumni,” said Dan Stahl, General Manager for Ticket Sales. “The atmosphere we are trying to recreate is similar to that student section feel, and lets you keep that Saturday tradition at Williams-Brice Stadium together.”
“While it’s hard to replicate the energy we once experienced in the student section, the Young Alumni section is definitely the next best thing,” said 2014 graduate Ken DeHart, who purchased tickets through the Young Alumni Ticket Program. “Putting together a group of tickets was easy and worth it. Win or lose, nothing beats watching the game with your friends.”
The cost is a 52 percent savings from the regular season ticket pricing. After selling more than 1,000 tickets last year in the inaugural season of Young Alumni Ticket Program, the ticket availability for the program was expanded in year two.
“We’re trying to double that number, and we’re close to that goal,” Stahl said. “We expanded it this year because of the demand we saw last year. The first couple of days we offered it last year, we immediately sold out of the 500 that we originally thought we would sell overall. So we doubled that last year. There are about 200 of these tickets left this year, so we have a really good chance to double it again this year.”

Participants may continue to purchase tickets at the discounted rate for up to four consecutive football seasons following their graduation.
“We want to connect more with our young fans who recently graduated,” Stahl said. “It’s important that they keep the energy and the atmosphere in the stadium to help us continue to create a home field advantage.”
The seats for the Young Alumni Ticket Program are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and are located in the 500 level of the east upper deck. Those who take part in the program will be awarded Gamecock Club benefits equal to that of the Roost level membership, and they can renew those tickets for up to four years at the Young Alumni discounted price.
After those four years, the Young Alumni participants can join the Gamecock Club at the minimum level to retain their seating locations or participate in the seat selection process to upgrade their seats. This allows them to get a jumpstart on their consecutive years as a season ticket holder, and gain points before they start joining the Gamecock Club at the full level.
