Clemson Added To Equestrian Schedule
Sept. 7, 2017
COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina equestrian has finalized its fall portion of the 2017-18 season as the Gamecocks will play host to Clemson in the opening scrimmage of the year on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., head coach Boo Major announced today.
This will be Carolina’s first and only tune-up before traveling to Texas A&M the following week to open the new year.
South Carolina comes into the season coming off a 7-9 year in which the Gamecocks took down No. 5 Baylor and No. 2 Georgia on their way to advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2017 NCEA Championship.
The 2017-18 competition year includes 12 regular-season events, including five home meets at One Wood Farm in Blythewood, while Carolina will also host the 2018 SEC Equestrian Championship.
