Swimming to Compete at Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio –
South Carolina men’s and women’s swimming and diving will compete for the second time in three days when it travels to Cincinnati. The Gamecocks will look to bounce back from a loss at Purdue when they face the Bearcats on Saturday. The meet will start with diving at 10 a.m. before swimming begins at noon ET.
Several Gamecocks have had notable performances in the first two meets of the season. Six Gamecocks have taken first place in an event in both meets, including Kersten Dirrane, Fynn Minuth, Patrick McCrillis, Christina Lappin, Emma Barksdale and Tomas Peribonio. Freshman Grant Summers has also gotten a strong start to the season, placing in the top three in the 3-meter at both meets this season.
Both the men and women lead in their series against the Bearcats. The men are undefeated against Cincinnati, with a record of 7-0. The women also have a strong lead with a 6-1 record against the Bearcats.
