Gamecocks Tally Six Wins at GT Invite; Play Postponed in Charlotte
South Carolina men's tennis returned to competition on day one of the GT Invitational in Atlanta, Ga., while the start of the Charlotte 49ers Fall Invitational was postponed due to inclement weather.
ATLANTA, Ga./CHARLOTTE, N.C.- South Carolina men’s tennis returned to competitive play on Friday as six members of the Gamecock roster competed in day one action at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta. The Gamecocks who made the trip to Charlotte for the Charlotte 49ers Fall Invitational had play postponed until Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

South Carolina tallied six total wins on day one at the Georgia Tech Invite which saw two rounds of doubles and one round of singles play on Friday.
In round one of the Olde Gold Singles Main Draw, Raphael Lambling took down SEC opponent Robert Loeb of Georgia, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 while Daniel Rodrigues defeated Carlo Donato of Virginia Tech in straight sets.
The Gamecocks’ European tandem of Lambling and Rodrigues also went 2-0 in doubles action, beating Phillip Gresk and Zummy Bauer of Georgia Tech in addition to an 8-3 win over Vandy’s Jack Lee and Panu Virtanen.
Play will resume with main draw and consolation singles matches beginning on Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
