Twenty-five Gamecocks Named to C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll
Seven players earned Commissioner’s Academic Medals (3.75 GPA or higher)
IRVING, Texas — All 25 players on the 2018 South Carolina men’s soccer roster were named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or higher) for the 2018-19 academic year, the league office announced. Seven student-athletes for the Gamecocks received C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medals (3.75 GPA or higher).
Carolina has a long-standing tradition of success in the classroom. Since joining C-USA in 2005, the Gamecocks have averaged 23 student-athletes on the league’s academic honor roll, with an average of seven medal winners each year.
The team has had the highest cumulative GPA in C-USA amongst men’s soccer programs six times, including each of the last two academic years (2016-17, 2017-18). Carolina boasted a 3.536 team GPA for the spring semester in 2019, the program’s second-highest GPA to date.
