Down-Jenkins Named SEC Diver of the Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina diver Anton Down-Jenkins was recognized as the SEC Male Diver of the Week, after sweeping the men’s diving events against NC State this past weekend. The Gamecock sophomore earns the first individual recognition for the Gamecocks this season.
 
Down-Jenkins opened his season with a clean sweep. He captured his first win of the season on the 1-meter board, setting a new personal record with a score of 379.13. The Wellington, New Zealand, native closed out the meet by winning the 3-meter competition by more than 60 points with a score of 375.68.
 
The Gamecocks host border rival North Carolina this Friday at 3 p.m.
