Gamecocks Announce All-SEC Fall Schedule

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina men’s golf announced its all-SEC fall schedule on Wednesday. It will feature three 54-hole, stroke play events with all 14 SEC teams beginning with the Blessings Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 5-7) sponsored by Tyson Foods next week.
 
“Our league, coaches and administrators have come together and put forth a wonderful plan for our athletes to compete,” said head coach Bill McDonald. “It’s well thought out and safe. We have the unique opportunity to compete and showcase just how special the SEC is. I’m very excited about these fall events, and I know our student-athletes are as well.”
 
The first round of the tournament will get underway on Monday, Oct. 5. Both men’s and women’s teams will play in the inaugural event, which takes place at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark. It will be a familiar site for many of the league’s schools, as the course played host to the 2019 NCAA Championship.
 
There will be awards for men’s and women’s team and individual competitions, as well as awards for the school with the best overall combined men’s and women’s individual and team scores.
 
The event will be nationally televised as Golf Channel will provide live coverage every day from 4:30-7:30 p.m. (ET).
 
The Gamecocks will head to Franklin, Tenn. next for the Vanderbilt Legends Collegiate at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, Oct. 25-27. The fall finale will be at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, Nov. 9-10, at Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, Ala.
