The Gamecocks went 2-2 on the week, which includes a series win over Missouri.
COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team went 2-2 on the week, falling to North Carolina in Charlotte in extra innings before winning 2-of-3 games against Missouri at Founders Park.

NOTES:
Carolina improved to 8-4 in the SEC with a series win over Missouri. The Gamecocks are a game behind both Tennessee and Vanderbilt in the SEC East standings after four weeks.
Brady Allen went 6-for-11 with six runs scored, a pair of doubles and six RBI in the Missouri series. He also had a three-run home run in the 11-1 Saturday win that got the Gamecocks on the board in the fifth inning.
The Gamecocks had a couple big outings out of the bullpen this weekend. Daniel Lloyd pitched four scoreless innings of relief on Saturday to earn the save, striking out a couple and allowing four hits with no walks. Brett Kerry then struck out eight in four innings of relief on Sunday to earn the win. He allowed six hits and two runs with no walks.
Brennan Milone had his first home run of the season in Sunday’s win over Missouri. Milone had two hits and three runs scored in the Missouri series.
Andrew Eyster now has seven home runs on the year after his two-run shot on Sunday. As a team, Carolina has 48 home runs, compared to 22 for its opponents.
The Gamecocks host Charleston Southern on Tuesday night. Carolina then travels to Baton Rouge for a Thursday-Saturday series against LSU.
