Baseball Hosts North Florida on Tuesday Night
The Gamecocks and Ospreys meet at 7 p.m. at Founders Park.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina baseball team opens a four-game homestand this Tuesday night (May 4) as the Gamecocks host North Florida at Founders Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday’s game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. Every Gamecock contest will be on the Gamecock Radio Network with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call. Carolina was swept by Ole Miss this past weekend in Oxford. Wes Clarke hit his 16th home run of the season in game two on Saturday while Julian Bosnic pitched 2.2 hitless innings of relief in that same game.
PARKING INFORMATION
For the 2021 season, there will not be shuttles from either the Key Road Gravel Lot or the Colonial Life Arena parking lot. There will be passes at lot 1 available for $10 apiece.

SCOUTING NORTH FLORIDA
The Ospreys are coming off dropping 2-of-3 games against Florida Gulf Coast this past weekend. UNF did take the series finale, 7-3, in 10 innings on Sunday. Cade Westbrook had three hits and drove in four in the win. Alex Kachler leads the Ospreys with a .379 batting average to go along with 10 doubles and six home runs. On the mound, Brandon Reitz has five saves and a 2.61 ERA in 20.2 innings pitched.
SERIES VS. NORTH FLORIDA
The two teams have met twice on the diamond with Carolina winning both meetings. Last season, the Gamecocks defeated UNF, 6-5, on Feb. 25 as Noah Myers had two hits and two runs scored while Jeff Heinrich drove in a pair. Julian Bosnic earned the win for Carolina, striking out a pair in 2.2 innings of relief.
MAHONEY SHUTS OUT THE CITADEL
Freshman Jack Mahoney did not allow a run in 7.2 innings pitched in a win over The Citadel on Tuesday night. Mahoney struck out six and allowed just five hits in the win. He improved his ERA to 1.10 while moving to 3-0 on the season.
WIMMER DOUBLES THE FUN
Sophomore Braylen Wimmer currently is tied for the SEC lead with 13 doubles. He doubled in Carolina’s 9-5 win over The Citadel on Tuesday night (April 27). Wimmer is hitting .284 on the season with seven home runs and 23 RBI.
