Gamecocks Keep Climbing at NCAA Championship
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The South Carolina women’s golf team took care of business carding a 1-under 287 to move into 12th place at the NCAA Championship on Sunday at Grayhawk Golf Club.
The top 15 teams advance to Monday’s final round of stroke play, with the top eight teams after tomorrow’s round advancing to match play.
Sophomore Pauline Roussin-Bouchard locked in on Sunday with three birdies in her first seven holes before hitting a wall with a double bogey on nine. Roussin-Bouchard refocused after the turn, shooting for par through her next seven holes before sinking birdies on 17 and 18 to finish at 3-under (69), the lowest round of the tournament for any Gamecock.
