Go Named First Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA
Third consecutive season she's been a member of the At-Large First Team
AUSTIN, Texas — For the third straight season, senior women’s golfer Lois Kaye Go was named a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-America selection on the At-Large Team, the organization announced on Friday. She graduated this spring with degrees in finance and accounting and a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Go, who is a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection as well, won the 2021 NCAA Elite 90 Award at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship in May at Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, Ariz.). She was major contributor on the team the past four seasons, finishing her career with the second lowest scoring average (72.99) in program history. A three-time Golfweek All-America Honorable Mention honoree, Go is the only two-time SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year in program history earning the award in 2019 and 2020.
Among the 45 women selected to the Academic All-America® Division I At-Large teams, 21 carry a 4.0 grade-point average. The 17 members of the women’s at-large first team carry an average GPA of 3.926.
