Gamecocks Conclude Play at Bulldog Invitational

Athens, GA – South Carolina men’s tennis will return home with a doubles win after playing in the final day of the Bulldog Invitational in Athens, GA.

Doubles pair Jake Beasley and James Story won their second doubles match of the tournament. The duo made easy work of Thomas Paulsell and Erik Grevelius of Georgia, defeating them 8-1. The Gamecock pair went 2-1 through the tournament.

On his own, Story put up a good fight, but ultimately lost his singles match to Dan Martin of Miami. Story lost the first set but took the second set after forcing it into a tiebreak. Story ultimately dropped the match after Martin earned a late service break in the third set to take the win. Story went 3-1 in singles throughout the tournament.

The Gamecocks will be in action next at the ITA Carolina Regionals that will take place in Durham, N.C., Oct. 22-26.
