Gamecocks Launch the 9-4 Challenge to Set Record Ticket Sales

South Carolina Athletics is launching the “9-4 Challenge” to set a school record for most new football season ticket holders in one year. The goal is to sell 9,004 new season tickets by the start of the Shane Beamer era on September 4. In addition, the throwback pricing that was introduced with the “Welcome Home” campaign will be extended through September 3.

Since the announcement of the “Welcome Home” campaign on March 1, a total of 6,439 new season tickets have been sold so far with a bulk of the busy summer season remaining. The most new season tickets sold in one season was 8,323 in 2019.

Gamecock officials announced the expectation of 100% capacity earlier this spring to accompany the “Welcome Home” promotional campaign which rolled back ticket prices to 2010. 

“The enthusiasm and passion of Gamecock fans is unmatched,” said head coach Shane Beamer. “I look forward to walking out to a full Williams-Brice Stadium on September 4 and having that crowd provide us with a tremendous home field advantage.”
