Gamecocks in Eighth After Two Rounds of Moon Golf Invitational

Three players inside the top-20 for South Carolina led by Tai Anudit (T-16th, +1)

MELBOURNE, Fla. — No. 3 South Carolina women’s golf shot a second round 291 (+3) on Monday in another tough scoring day for the field at the Moon Golf Invitational. The Gamecocks are in eighth at 10-over for the tournament after 36 holes, sitting five shots back of moving into the top five.
 
Graduate transfer Tai Anudit fired an even par 72. The team started on the back nine of the course today and she made the turn at 1-under. Anudit was bogey free on the back nine until a five on her final hole at the par-4 ninth.
 
Junior Mathlide Claisse also shot 72 (E) with one birdie, one bogey and 16 pars on her scorecard. Both players sit inside the top-20.
 
Standout freshman and ANNIKA Award Watch Lister Hannah Darling shot 73 (+1). She played solid and was hurt only by a double bogey at the par-3 14th early in the round.
 
Freshman Louise Rydqvist was the final counting score with a 74 (+2). She is also inside the top-20 on the leaderboard, T-19th with Claisse at 2-over for the tournament.
 
Junior transfer Justine Fournand shot 75 (+3). Sophomore Paula Kirner shot 77 (+5) playing as an individual.
