No. 3 Gamecocks T-4th After 18 Holes in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — No. 3 South Carolina is T-4^th after 18 holes of the Tallahassee Regional. The Gamecocks shot 299 (+11) in round one and were paced by an even par round for freshman Hannah Darling.
 
The Gamecocks are eight shots out of third and nine shots back of second. The top four teams after 54 holes advance to the NCAA Championship (May 20-25) at Grayhawk in Scottsdale, Ariz.  
 
Darling, who will be playing in the Arnold Palmer Cup and Curtis Cup this summer, shot even on both sides. She made a pair of eagles and three birdies. Darling is T-7^th, three shots back of Beatrice Wallin of Florida State and Ashley Gilliam of Mississippi State.
 
Freshman Louise Rydqvist and junior Mathilde Claisse each shot 75 (+3) and are T-25^th. Rydqvist made a pair of birdies and Claisse had three red numbers on her scorecard. Graduate transfer Tai Anudit was the final counting scored with a 77 (+5). Junior Justine Fournand shot 79 (+7).
 
Carolina will be paired with Miami and Quinnipiac for round two on Tuesday. Fournand will lead things off on hole one at 8 a.m. (ET).
