Epley Announces Fall 2022 Schedule

Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis head coach Kevin Epley  announced his team’s Fall 2022 schedule on Thursday. The schedule features four road invitationals, a home invitational, and three ITA sanctioned championships.

The fall slate will begin just up the road in Greenville, S.C., at the Furman Fall Invite Sept. 16-18. Epley’s squad will then split between the Wolfpack Invite in Raleigh, N.C., and the Charlotte Fall Invite in Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 22-25.

Selected members of the team will then travel to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championships Oct. 3-9. Qualifying rounds will be Oct. 3-4, and the main draw will take place Oct. 5-9. South Carolina sophomore Sarah Hamner  claimed the All-American Championship title at the 2021 edition of the event.

The Gamecocks then travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the ITA Carolina Regionals Oct. 13-17, before returning home to host the Gamecock Shootout Oct. 28-30.

Qualifying members of the team will conclude the fall season at the ITA Fall National Championships in San Diego, Calif., Nov. 3-6.

The Gamecocks ended the 2021-22 season in their 27th consecutive NCAA Championship appearance and will return two NCAA Singles Championship qualifiers for the 2022-23 season. South Carolina will also add a pair of freshmen to the mix, including five-star recruit and No. 14 recruit in the class of 2022 Mckenna Schaefbauer  (via
