Gamecock Swimmers Take On Virginia Tech Invitational
Blacksburg, Va. – South Carolina swimming will send an abbreviated squad to Blacksburg, Va., to compete in the Virginia Tech Invitational. The meet will begin on Fri., Feb. 3 and run through Fri., Feb. 5 at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
Preliminary heats will begin each day at 10 a.m. with finals beginning at 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday and at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
South Carolina’s women will have 13 competitors while the men will be represented by freshman Jack Carman and sophomore Coleman McCreery.
The Gamecocks will compete against swimmers from Duke and host Virginia Tech. Duke’s women are ranked No. 20 by the CSCAA while Virginia Tech’s women are No. 23. Virginia Tech is the only ranked men’s team of the competition, coming in at No. 13.
