Countdown to Opening Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of South Carolina softball team will have eight games televised on the SEC Network with additional games on the ESPN family of networks, including SEC Network Plus, it was announced Wednesday (Feb. 8).

The Gamecocks will kick off SEC play with all three games of their series against LSU (March 11-13) broadcast from Carolina Softball Stadium on the SEC Network. Game times were moved for  the TV schedule, with first pitch on Saturday now at 6 p.m., Sunday at 4 p.m., and Monday at 7 p.m.

Carolina’s game on April 1 against Florida, also from Beckham Field, will be on SECN with first pitch now scheduled for noon. During its next SEC homestand, South Carolina’s matchup on April 15 against Texas A&M will be on the SEC Network at 2 p.m.

The last three SEC Network games for the Gamecocks will be on the road. The first will come from Georgia on April 22 at noon. The final weekend of the season will see Carolina on TV for the first two games of its series at Tennessee; the opener on May 5 at 6 p.m., and the second game the following day at noon.

Every home game at Beckham Field and all SEC contests not televised will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. The Gamecocks will also have five non-SEC road games that will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks. The schedule kicks off tomorrow (Feb. 9) for Opening Day at Charlotte on ESPN+ at 6 p.m.
