
Feagin Named to SEC Community Service Team
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball sophomore forward Sania Feagin was named to the 2023 SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team, the league office announced today.
Feagin has been committed to serving throughout her career, especially young people in the community. She is always up for a school visit, happy to do anything from an early-morning High-Five Friday at a local elementary school to mentoring at an area middle school. She participated in Christmas Giving, sorting non-perishable food items for the elderly during Christmas as well as March Madness Reading event and a Pen-Pals program.
On the court, Feagin is enjoying the best season of her young career, averaging 6.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in here 19 games played. She is shooting 58.8 percent from the field with five double-figure scoring games.
The #1/1 Gamecocks have two more games remaining in the regular season beginning Thu., Feb. 23, at Tennessee (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) and wrapping up on Sun., Feb. 26, with a noon tipoff at Colonial Life Arena on ESPN2. The game is sold out for Senior Day with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. and Senior Day festivities beginning at 11:35 a.m.
