Gamecocks in the MiLB Update - July 17

The 2024 Minor League Baseball season is coming off the All-Star Break and heading into the second half of the season. Here’s what the Gamecocks on the Farm have done in the first half of the MiLB season.

Triple A

• Luke Berryhill has played in 55 games for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, the Triple A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Berryhill has 26 runs scored, eight doubles, six home runs, 29 RBI and 26 walks.
• Noah Campbell has played in 69 games between Triple A Nashville and Double A Biloxi in the Milwaukee Brewers system. He has 28 runs scored, eight doubles, six triples, three home runs and 29 RBI with 45 walks.
• Wes Clarke has played in 59 games between Triple A Nashville and Double A Biloxi in the Milwaukee Brewers system. He has 25 runs scored, 13 doubles, 10 home runs and 39 RBI with 29 walks.
• Carlos Cortes has played in 41 games for the Syracuse Mets, the Triple A affiliate of the New York Mets. He has scored 25 runs and has six doubles, eight home runs and 30 RBI on the year.
• Taylor Widener has made 19 appearances for the Gwinett Stripers, the Triple A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. He currently is 3-4 with 54 strikeouts in 50.2 innings pitched and has a save on the year.

Double A

• Brady Allen has played in 66 games for the Erie Seawolves, the Double A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. He has scored 29 runs and has 13 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 26 RBI to go along with 22 runs scored.
• Eddy Demurias is currently on the Injured List for the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Double A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Before the injury, he was 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 10 appearances and 16 innings pitched.
• Thomas Farr has made 16 starts for the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Double A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. He has 48 strikeouts on the season.
• James Hicks has advanced two levels this season to Double A Corpus Christi in the Houston Astros organization. This season, Hicks is 4-3 with a 3.18 ERA in 16 appearances and eight starts. He has a save and 80 strikeouts in 70.2 innings pitched.
• TJ Hopkins is out for the 2024 season due to injury. Prior to his injury, he had 10 runs scored and a pair of home runs for the Erie Seawolves, the Double A affiliate of Detroit.
• Brett Kerry is 4-2 with 79 strikeouts in 89.2 innings pitched between Triple A Salt Lake and Double A Rocket City in the Los Angeles Angels organization. Kerry has made 17 appearances and 14 starts between the two teams.
• Reid Morgan has made 26 appearances for the Arkansas Travelers, the Double A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. He has a win, a save and 27 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched.
• TJ Shook has made 17 appearances and 11 starts for the Biloxi Shuckers, the Double A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. He has five wins, a 4.90 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 64.1 innings pitched.

High A

• Julian Bosnic has made 12 appearances for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the High A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has a win and 12 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched.
• Colin Burgess is on the Injured List for the West Michigan Whitecaps, the High A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
• Noah Hall is on the Injured List for the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High A affiliate of the New York Mets. He made four starts for Brooklyn and had 12 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched.
• Daniel Lloyd is currently with the Aberdeen IronBirds, the High A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. He has two wins and 15 strikeouts in 23.1 innings pitched in three different levels in 2024.
• Will Sanders has made 16 appearances and 15 starts for the South Bend Cubs, the High A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. He has 68 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched to go along with a win, a save and a 4.65 ERA.
• Josiah Sightler has played in 52 games for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the High A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has 21 runs scored, five doubles, seven home runs and 26 RBI on the year.

Low A

• Cade Austin has made 20 appearances for the Tampa Yankees, the Low A affiliate of the New York Yankees. He has 42 strikeouts in 39.1 innings pitched to go along with a win and a 4.35 ERA.
• Jack Mahoney has made 15 starts for the Fresno Grizzlies, the Low A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Mahoney has four wins, a 3.36 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 83 innings pitched. He was the California League Pitcher of the Month for the month of June.
• Will McGillis has played in 21 games for the Tri City Dust Devils, the Low A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. He has eight runs scored, three home runs and eight RBI.
• Braylen Wimmer has played in 75 games for the Fresno Grizzlies, the Low A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. He has 62 runs scored, 14 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 44 RBI and 30 walks on the year. Wimmer was named the California League Hitter of the Month for the month of June.

Independent

• Jackie Bradley Jr. has played in 35 games for the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League. He has 12 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs, 28 RBI and 19 walks on the year.
