Gamecocks Conclude Homestand Tuesday Against Towson

Doors open at 6 p.m. (ET) for the 7 p.m. tip as South Carolina looks to build momentum off first win of the season last Friday

­COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (1-1) concludes its three-game homestand to start the season Tuesday night as it welcomes in Towson (1-1) to Colonial Life Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. (ET) with Dave Weinstein and John Williams on the call for the SEC Network+ broadcast.

It’ll be just the third all-time meeting between the two schools and first since the non-conference finale of the 1997-98 season.

The Gamecocks are fresh off the team’s first victory of the season last Friday, 86-64, over SC State. Senior Jacobi Wright scored a career-high 20 points and sophomore forward Collin Murray-Boyles had his third career double-double with 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.

With the win, Carolina improved to 8-0 under head coach Lamont Paris when the team scores 80 or more points.
