Carolina making its first trip to Norman since Dec. 10, 1992 in search of first league win

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (10-7, 0-4 SEC) remains on the road as it travels to Oklahoma (13-4, 0-4 SEC) for just the third time in program history on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU with Dave Neal (pxp) and former Gamecock assistant coach Perry Clark (analyst) on the call for the broadcast.

The last time Carolina played at the Lloyd Noble Center was Dec. 10, 1992. The two programs have met just five previous times, three times in the 1970s and twice in the early 1990s.

The Gamecocks and Sooners are both seeking their first league win in what has been a historic season to date for the SEC, the nation’s best basketball conference.

Sophomore guard Morris Ugusuk is fresh off a career-high 20 points on Wednesday at Vanderbilt. Redshirt freshman guard Arden Conyers has scored in double-figures (13 vs. #2/2 Auburn and 10 at Vanderbilt) in two straight games as well for Carolina.

Preseason All-SEC forward Collin Murray-Boyles has ascended back to the top of the SEC field goal percentage charts as he’s shooting 59.4 percent (101-of-170) from the floor to lead the league and rank in the top-30 nationally. His four double-doubles are second in the SEC behind only Auburn’s Johni Broome.
