Gamecocks Face Road Test at LSU Tuesday Night

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (10-15, 0-12 SEC) remains on the road with a trip to the Red Stick to face LSU (13-12, 2-10 SEC) on Tuesday night. Tip is set for 9 p.m. (ET) on SEC Network with Mike Morgan (pxp) and former Gamecock assistant coach Perry Clark (analyst) on the call.

The Gamecocks won for the first time since 2017 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in head coach Lamont Paris’ first season back on Feb. 18, 2023. Carolina defeated the Tigers 82-73 thanks to 15 shots made from behind the arc. Jacobi Wright scored 18 points off the bench, hitting five triples. The Gamecocks were great at the free throw line as well, shooting 17-of-18 (94.4%) at the charity stripe. Carolina did not trail once in the road victory.

LSU upset the then No. 11/11 Gamecocks last season at Colonial Life Arena. Vanderbilt transfer Jordan Wright hit a pair of free throws in the final 5 seconds as the Tigers won, 64-63, in game that Carolina led by 16 points early in the second half.
