NCAA Positioning
South Carolina has just two meets remaining to improve on the season marks for the NCAA Indoor Championship. To qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championship, individual athletes must rank inside the Top 16, while relays have to be found inside the Top 12 after removing duplicate school entries. As it stands right now, the women would have five entries led by JaMeesia Ford who ranks first in the 200m (22.34) and third in the 400m (51.31.). South Carolina women’s squad would also send both the 4x400m relay who ranks fifth (3:29.77) and the distance medley relay team who ranks 12th (11:02.54). The Gamecock men are currently led by Dylan Targgart who is 10th in the men’s shot put (19.41m), while the distance medley relay team ranks ninth with a time of 9:44.41.
