
Gamecocks Return to Athens for Last Chance Meet
ATHENS, Ga. – The South Carolina swimming team is sending select athletes to compete in the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet on March 1-2 at the University of Georgia in attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the end of March.
Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. both days while finals start at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Live stats are available on SideArm or on the subscription based app MeetMobile.
The Gamecocks are coming off of a historic performance at the 2025 SEC Championships last week. Combined the team put up 41 new marks in the top 10 all-time list, broke nine school records and earned two podium finishes. The women’s program posted a fifth place finish out of 13 schools with 635.5 points which matches the 2004 team’s finish when the SEC had just nine teams.
South Carolina is sending eight athletes as well as a couple relays to the meet:
- Delaney Franklin – 200 IM, 400 IM
- Meaghan Harnish – 200 IM, 400 IM
- Peyton Curry – 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle
- Dylan Scholes – 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle
- Jordan Agliano – 200 Freestyle, 200 Butterfly
- Elizabeth Goodwin-Birnie – 200 Breaststroke
- Connor Fry – 1650 Freestyle
- Raymond Prosinski – 1650 Freestyle
- Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay
- Women’s 200 Medley Relay
- Men’s 200 Medley Relay
- 400 Medley Relay
