
Softball Drops Second Game of Series to Auburn
AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 13/11 South Carolina (35-13, 10-10) softball dropped game two of its series 7-0 at Auburn (29-20, 6-17) Saturday afternoon (Apr. 26).
The Gamecocks were limited to a pair of base runners on the day. Abigail Knight led off the sixth with a walk and Emma Sellers followed with a single off the glove of a leaping second baseman.
Auburn scored three runs in the first to take the lead. They added a run in the fifth and three more in the sixth.
Nealy Lamb (9-3) took the loss, allowing four runs, two earned, on three hits and a strikeout in 1 1-3 innings.
The series finale will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT.
