COLUMBIA, S.C. – The regular season comes to a close for the No. 14/12 South Carolina softball team when the Gamecocks host No. 19/14 Alabama May 1-3. Carolina will honor its seven seniors prior to Friday’s game. Saturday’s game will be on the SEC Network.

- Prior to Friday’s game, Carolina will honor its seven seniors: Ella Chancey, Brooke Blankenship, Carlie Henderson, Abigail Knight, Sam Gress, Emily Vinson, and Emma Sellers.
- This week in the NCAA RPI the Gamecocks are No. 8.
- Carolina has the second most wins against Top-25 RPI teams in the nation (14)
- Their 26 games against Top-25 RPI opponents are also second most.
- South Carolina remained in the top-15 of all four polls this week.
- The Gamecocks are No. 12 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll, and No. 14 in the NFCA/USA Today, Softball America and D1Softball polls.
- With a walk in game one against Auburn, Arianna Rodi set a new single-season program record with her 43rd walk.
- Her 13 home runs on the season rank tied for 3rd in program history.
- She is 10th the nation in walks per game.
- She had her on-base streak end at 37 games, second most in recorded history.
- Rodi hit a home run in five straight games (Feb. 25 – Mar. 5), which is tied for the 14th longest streak in NCAA Division I history.
- Brooke Blankenship ranks 3rd in the nation in sacrifice flies.
- Her eight sac flies are tied for 2nd in a single season in program history.
- Her 13 career sac flies are second all time in Carolina history.
- Quincee Lilio leads the team with 19 multi-hit games on the season.
- Lilio is 20th in the nation in walks per game.
- Her 40 walks are tied for third all-time in a season.
- Karley Shelton ranks 16th in doubles.
- Her 17 doubles on the year rank tied for 9th all-time in program history.
- She has 17 multi-hit games on the season.
- Sam Gress ranks 9th nationally in saves.
- South Carolina has outscored their opponents 313-148 on the season, including 59-14 in the fourth inning and 30-12 in the seventh inning.
- As a team they rank 5th in the nation in fielding percentage.
- They also rank 6th in sacrifice flies, 8th in shutouts and double plays per game, 9th in walks, and 10th in double plays

- For the first time in program history every game will be televised on the ESPN family of networks and digital platforms.
- South Carolina and Georgia are the only two Division I programs to have every game broadcast this season.
- With the win over Ole Miss, the Gamecocks reached 30 wins for the 31st time in program history.
- Carolina’s sweep over Kentucky marks their fourth SEC series win of the season, their most since 2018.
- With the win over Youngstown State, the Gamecocks tied the program record from 1976 for most consecutive wins to start a season (20).
- With the series win over #19 Ole Miss, the Gamecocks now have five series wins over top-20 opponents.
- They also have four series wins over top-15 opponents.

South Carolina is 272-107 (.718) at Carolina Softball Stadium since being built in 2013. That includes a 4-1 record at home while hosting an NCAA regional at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field.
Prior to 2021, South Carolina had not lost double digit games at home in seven years and has won 20 or more eight of the past nine seasons.
Since 2016, South Carolina has consistently ranked among the nation’s leaders in attendance. Since that time, excluding the 2021 COVID season that limited attendance, they have never finished lower than 15th in average or cumulative attendance.
In 2024, Carolina ranked 7th in the nation in total attendance and 14th in average attendance. They were 9th and 11th in 2023, 7th and 13th in 2022, 7th and 11th in 2020, 10th and 13th in 2019, 11th and 13th in 2018, 10th and 11th in 2017, 12th and 15th in 2016.

- South Carolina is 183-407-1 (.311) against opponents ranked in the NFCA top 25 since 1995.
- Broken down by site, the Gamecocks are 88-141 (.384) at home, 49-191 (.204) on the road and 47-74-1 (.389) in neutral-site outings.
