Softball Game Two vs Alabama Suspended to Saturday

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The softball game between No. 14/12 South Carolina and No. 19/14 Alabama Friday (May 2) was suspended after the second inning due to inclement weather. The Gamecocks will have a 3-0 lead when the game is resumed tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Game three of the series will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two. Tickets for game two will be honored and the stadium will be cleared between games. A separate ticket will be required for game three. Both games will be on the SEC Network.

The evening began with a Senior Day recognizing seven of South Carolina’s players, including Sam Gress who took the start in the circle. Gress recorded two strikeouts through the two innings played. Lexi Winters hit a three-run home run to left field for the lead in the bottom of the first.
