COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team was 1-3 on the week, defeating Charleston Southern in the midweek and falling to Florida three times on the weekend.

NOTES:
Jarvis Evans Jr., improved to 4-2 on the season in a 5-3 win over Charleston Southern on Tuesday night. Evans went 5.2 innings, allowing just two hits and no runs. Evans is now tied for the team lead with four wins on the year.
KJ Scobey homered for the fifth time this year in Saturday’s game against Florida. Scobey now has 18 RBI and nine extra-base hits on the year.
Blake Jackson reached base five times in the middle game against the Gators. He singled and walked four times, the most by a Gamecock hitter this season. Jackson now has a .452 on-base percentage.
Carolina does not have a midweek due to finals and return to the diamond for a Thursday-Saturday series at Auburn. Thursday’s game will be televised on ESPNU while Saturday’s contest is on SEC Network.
