
Harris Punches Ticket to 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont

Redshirt junior from Boca Raton, Fla. was co-medalist at Emerald Dunes Golf Club for final qualifier on Tuesday
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Redshirt junior Frankie Harris punched his ticket to the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club (June 12-15) on Tuesday as co-medalist at final qualifying. Harris shot 133 (-11) to finish T-1st with Justin Hicks and Philip Barbaree at Emerald Dunes Golf Club.

Harris shot 66 (-6) the opening 18 holes and 67 (-5) the final 18. He made just two bogeys over the course of 36 holes with 11 birdies and an eagle.
He advanced to final qualifying after earning co-medalist honors at local qualifying back on April 30. Harris shot 68 (-2) at Solina Golf Club to finish T-1st with Keller Harper.
The Boca Raton, Fla. native will be the first Gamecock to compete in the U.S. Open since former All-American Matt NeSmith in 2022. NeSmith finished T-37th at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass.
