Volleyball Releases Full 2025 Slate
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Head coach Sarah Rumely Noble’s first season at the helm of South Carolina Volleyball will begin on the team’s home court, as the full 2025 schedule was finalized on Thursday. The Gamecocks open the fall in the final weekend of August and play six home non-conference matches before starting SEC play on Sept. 24. In non-conference play, the team plays four games against ACC rivals and faces four teams from the 2024 NCAA tournament field.
Fans are able to purchase VIP tickets again this fall, securing a seat for all home games in the Carolina Volleyball Center (CVC). Single game tickets are $11 for adults, $6 for youth (ages 17 and under), and $4 for groups. To order your VIP ticket, please follow THIS LINK.
“We are excited about the non-conference schedule we’ve been able to build,” Noble said. “We know it will both challenge us and prepare us for SEC play. Our players and staff are excited to be back in the gym and seeing Gamecock Nation out in full support!”
Along with its annual Garnet and Black Scrimmage, the team will play a preseason exhibition against Georgia Southern on Saturday, Aug. 23 in Savannah, Ga. The match will be a chance to play where the newly revived SEC Tournament will be hosted in November.
The regular season begins with the Gamecock Classic, running Aug. 29-31 in the CVC. South Carolina will host ETSU on Friday at 6 p.m. in the tournament opener, then plays Campbell at 4 p.m. on Saturday before closing the weekend against Clemson at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The following week brings on a stretch of four road games, starting at Coastal Carolina on Sept. 3. That weekend, Sept. 6-7, pits the Gamecocks against USF and Florida State down in Tampa, Fla. Two more ACC foes come after, starting on Sept. 10 in Raleigh with the ACC/SEC Showdown at the Net matchup at N.C. State. The Gamecocks then return home on Friday, Sept. 12 to host North Carolina at 7 p.m.
In the final full week of non-conference play, South Carolina hosts Wofford at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 and then USC Upstate on Friday, Sept. 19. The Terriers joined the Gamecocks in Waco, Texas last December in the NCAA tournament, after they won the Southern Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season.
The Southeastern Conference announced the conference schedule back on April 10. This fall, the format moves to a one-off, 15-game conference schedule for every school. Conference play begins on September 24 and runs through November 16. The SEC Volleyball Tournament is scheduled for November 21-25 at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Ga.
Rumely Noble will have a homecoming to break the seal on conference play. The Gamecocks begin their SEC schedule at her alma mater, Kentucky, on opening night (Wednesday, Sept. 24). The following Wednesday, Oct. 1, will be the team’s SEC home opener, welcoming in Texas A&M. Also slated to play in the Carolina Volleyball Center this fall are Georgia (Oct. 5), Mississippi State (Oct. 17), Alabama (Oct. 19), Auburn (Oct. 29), Florida (Nov. 2), LSU (Nov. 7) and Ole Miss (Nov. 12).
Following their opening night at Kentucky, the road assignments for the Gamecocks will be Tennessee (Sept. 26), their first trip to Oklahoma since 1998 (Oct. 10), Arkansas (Oct. 12), Missouri (Oct. 24), their first-ever meeting with Vanderbilt (Oct. 26) and the regular-season finale will be back in Austin with a match at Texas (Nov. 16).
