Beach Volleyball Falls to Florida Gulf Coast, 3-2
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The South Carolina beach volleyball team fell to Florida Gulf Coast, 3-2, in the second match of the Dolphin Duals tournament in Jacksonville, Fla.
Julia Waugh and Evie Ziffer picked up their second win of the season as a pair, defeating Florida Gulf Coast in three tightly contested sets, 19-21, 21-17, 15-12.
Juju Quintero and Annalyse Askew grabbed their second win as a pair, taking down FGCU, 21-19, 21-15.
Despite Gamecock victories on courts two and four, the Eagles claimed courts one, three, and the exhibition on court six to ultimately win the match.
The Gamecocks will be back in action for day two of the Dolphin Duals tomorrow at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
