Harris Finishes T-17th to Lead Gamecocks at Southern Highlands Collegiate

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – South Carolina finished T-12^th in a strong field that featured nine top-25 teams at the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Tuesday. The Gamecocks shot 886 (+22) over the course of the 54-hole event.

Redshirt senior All-American Frankie Harris led the team this week with T-17^th finish shooting even par (216). The Boca Raton, Fla., native shot 69-73-74 at Southern Highlands Golf Club. He made 11 birdies in the tournament to lead the team. Harris now has five top-20 finishes in six starts this season with a pair of wins. He has 19 career top-20 finishes in 28 starts for the Gamecocks the last three seasons.

Senior Zach Adams finished T-30^th at 3-over (219) for the tournament. He shot 74-73-72 with eight birdies on the week.

Top-ranked Virginia held off No. 2 Auburn for a 1-shot win at 15-under. Texas’ Christian Mass was the individual medalist at 10-under (206) shooting 70-68-68 to win by two shots.

The Gamecocks will head straight to Jacksonville, Fla. for the team’s next event The Hayt (March 7-9) at Sawgrass Country Club.
