Four Gamecocks Earn Second Team All-American Status

ATLANTA, Ga. – Four Gamecocks earn Second Team All-American status as the first day of the NCAA Women’s Championship comes to a close at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Ga.

Ellery Ottem, Amy Riordan, Breckin Gormley and Meaghan Harnish finished 15th in the 800-yard freestyle with a time of 7:03.73, capturing the second team accolade.

Nora Fluck (16:27.41) and Emma Reiser (16:28.83) finished 32nd and 33rd, respectively, in the 1650 freestyle.

The Gamecocks are back in full swing tomorrow as Riordan (200 freestyle), Jordan Agliano (100 butterfly) and Sophie Verzyl (1-meter dive) are set to compete. Prelims are scheduled for 10 a.m. and finals to follow at 6 p.m. All sessions will be streamed live on ESPN+.
